Mark Abery, CEO
After completing a football scholarship in America, Mark founded Cup Promotions (now the Lovesport Group) in 1994 when he staged the first Inner City World cup event.
In 1995 he staged the first Celebrity Soccer Six event using his contacts with bands, celebrities, managers, agents and security.
With the Inner City World Cup now part of the annual Lovefootball Festival and Celebrity Soccer Six established as the biggest celebrity football tournament in the world, Mark has cemented the Lovesport Group as innovators in content led events, having added celebrity netball Netball Sevens), basketball (Dunk n Funk), tennis (Smashed!), Rock n Golf and fishing (Fish Off!) to its portfolio, as well as the Game of History featuring the UK Cup Stars celebrity team. |
Glyn Evans, Managing Director
Prior to becoming Managing Director of The Lovesport Group, Glyn was a senior police officer working throughout East Anglia, predominantly in Essex.
Having represented the British Police at football and athletics as well as winning national tennis titles for Essex Police, he is well placed to combine his love and involvement of the sporting world together with his previous experience in people management and incident and event control issues for the benefit of the Lovesport Group.
He has an MSc in Business Management and a PG Dip in Business Excellence and a PG Cert in Forensic Science. |
